英文标点符号的用法

英语标点符号用法 (逗号, 句号, 分号, 冒号, 引号, 破折号, 问号, 叹号, 连字字符, 撇号, 省略号)

1、逗号comma

1. 断句
   let’s eat, rabbit.
2. 列举
   Let’s eat carrots, red apples,and banannas.
3. 同位语
   I love my parents, the rebbit and the wolf. (句末防止歧义的逗号：系列逗号，牛津逗号，哈佛逗号 )
4. 引语：引语在前末尾需要使用逗号
   “Well, yes, let’s eat, my dear wolf,” the rabbit said./ The wolf said to the rabbit, “Let’s eat, rabbit.”
5. 插入语
   This carrot, I think, is very tasty!
6. 并列句、复杂句
7. 附加疑问句
   This is a tasty cattot, isn’t it?

2、句号period

英文句号是一个实心的点，也叫句点

用于缩略句之后：Mr.Rabbit Dec. 8:30 A.M.

用来介绍或解释后面的内容

1. 列举
2. 引语

   进一步解释的意味

4. 时间表达

5、引号double quote single quote

书籍、报纸、文章、杂志可以用引号表示 Have you read “The little Prince”?

也可以使用加粗字体

6、破折号dash

解释说明：You’ve met my best friend - the wolf.

同位语: All the animals - the rabbit, the wolf, and their friends - will go to the party.

一句话的中断：Carrots or apples?Hmm, I don’t - well, I guess I’ll choose carrots.

7、问号、叹号question mark，exclamation mark

8、连字符、撇号hyphen，apostrophe

构词：hard-working

构成所有格：the rabbit’s carrot

构成缩略：I’d better = l had better
